Editions and Pricing
Wowza Media Server Pro is available in several editions. Every edition can be used for commercial deployments and feature unlimited bandwidth, live stream repeater functionality and full interactive capabilities. See the Documentation page for the Wowza Media Server EULA and User's Guide for more information on allowable usage and functionality. Download Wowza Pro installation packages and get a license from the Wowza Store.
In brief, the licenses differ as follows:
- Wowza Pro10: the developers edition with the same functionality as Wowza Pro Unlimited edition except it is limited to 10 concurrent connections.
- Wowza Pro Unlimited: The standard license. This is a perpetual license (pay one time) and must be licensed separately for each server.
- Wowza Pro Unlimited with MPEG-TS: The same as the Pro Unlimited edition with the addition of H.264 MPEG-TS ingest capability.
- Wowza Pro Software Subscription: Same functionality as Unlimited with MPEG-TS and offered at a very economical monthly fee. You provide the hardware, bandwidth and management. This is a software only subscription.
- Wowza Pro for Amazon EC2: The same functionality as the Unlimited with MPEG-TS edition combined with machine time with various Amazon EC2 instances and bandwidth at a very attractive price. This is the only type of license valid for use on Amazon EC2.
